Meet Dr. Shannon Backofen

Dr. Shannon Backofen is a native of Bossier City.  She attended Airline High School and Louisiana Tech University for her undergraduate degree.  She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis in 1992.  After a two-year residency from 1994 to 1996 at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, she earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry.  She joined Pediatric Dental Partners in 1996.

She is married to Mike Backofen of Bossier City and has two children, Kyle and Megan.  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
